nickcoletti The ProComp 305x65x17E won't rub on a stock truck, I guy I work with here has onhis05 2500 CTD stock315x70x17E they do rub he says slightly, when he is either pointing up_down hill and cranking the wheel.[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

and is D range a good tire for heavy weight???

nickcolettiI wouldn't try D range rated tires. Had the TOYO 285x70x17D ATgot only about 32K miles out of them. I haul a 5Klbs boat and at times a 1.75K lbs truck bed camper. You really got to pump them up, theyare only 8 ply very muchie and the rubber is way too soft. They will be my first and last D range tire and TOYO brand. To much $$$ for not enough service life and durability. I always keep my tires rotated, balance and pressured for load.

 

I would think between plans for heavy towing and your plow you'd want to stick with E rated. The xtreme at's from procomp are E, btw.

 

I paid $785.00 delivered, and it also will be getting a $75.00 rebate from Pro Comp. I paid $140.00 to have the tires mounted and balanced as well as to get rid of 3 old tires ( I kept one as a spare on the busted up 17" wheel that I have ). So far I'm really happy with them since my old Bridgestones were all dry rotted and wouldn't keep consistant air in them at all. I was back and forth between the A/T's and the 305 extreme At's, but the regular AT's were about 10 lbs lighter so I went that route thinking that they'd getr me better mpg's.

 

not all of them.... you must double check their website to be sure. 35x12.5x18's are, 35x12.5x17's are not...

 

Good point Steve. I was addressing the 33x12.50x17 (305/65/17) that he had specifically mentioned, but you are correct.

 

well if i have a hard time finding E range, would D range really be THAT bad???

i mean they gotta be better than the stock tires right? i will be pulling a loaded dump trailer (15k) on some weekends for the next few years with my side jobs but its not going to be an every day thing or even a every week thing and i wont be pulling anything over the winter.
