Who would have thought that at 16you were driving a beater because you couldn't afford a newer nicer car, that you'd eventually be going backwards and once again be looking for a beater to drive because now you can't afford the fuel for your newer / nicer car.

I had a old girl friend come to Daytona, called for me to come over and turned her down because of the fuel price,100 mile or better round trip depending on where she's staying.

Things are still tight in the construction, so I better save my fuel for work, then again 10 years ago I would have rode the bike over, peddled all the way for a sure thing, I guess I been there done that to many times already.

Mine has been sitting all this year expect for my once a month drive to a shooting event.I just bought $200 of B20 today for my big tank and it barely went over 50 gallons. I'm hoping that gets me through the middle of the summer.

If I had a cheap beater that could handle the drives I have to take, I would probably get it and park the cummins in the garage and not leave it down at school all the time. Its getting really expensive as my only car and costs a ton more than the sunfire I used to drive, but I need it to move tractors and drive past eco hippies. I get to look forward to paying for fuel for a trip to isle royal too[:@]

Like doing auotmotive work and computer work in a small town is tight too...

But I talked to my GF last night on the phone and we desided to meet at the halfway mark which is her Dad's place in Council, ID which is 50 miles for me and about 75 miles for her. Then on top of it I will leave my diesel parked, plugged in , and left in the garage. I'll be taking the my Goldwing down there... The only thing is the weather here is rather cold yet like 35-45*F outside so I got to dress with snowmobile stuff to stay warm...

Oh but the price of diesel...

Council, ID - $4.269
New Meadows, ID - $4.329
Riggins, ID - $4.299

I only put in about $50 buck at atime... Just to hard to fill it up...

Get ready for the price to go back up as the wholesale diesel increased yesterday. Our price went up yesterday from $3.93 to $3.99
