I ordered the Cummins with the 6 speed manual. Would not be much of a truck withouttheCummins, especially for towing. Can't wait to get her. I'm sure getting tired of the automatic and my current truck is a little too much on the pretty side for me. Always worried about keeping it clean and nice looking. I don't think I'll feel the same way about the flatbed. Hell I might not ever wash it.

Good luck with that. I wish I had an 06. The DPF on mine is getting on my nerves. It hasnt given me any problems yet, other than the horrible mileage, but after hearing all the horrow stories from the 6.7, I am worried about the problems that are more than likely ahead of me.

Not sure about all of the problems with the 6.7. I don't spend that much time on here to read up on all of that. Guess I'll have to see when the truck comes in. Not planning on doing any mods to the truck, so hopefully I can get decent mileage.

I gained 1 MPG on highway when I got my bigger tires. It didnt change at all putting around town. All I have done is 2 1/2 inch lift, tires, and exhaust.

What are the known problems with the 6.7? Also did you change your computer or speedo gear to correct for the larger tires (I'm not very familiar with what to do on these trucks with a larger tire, but something would have to change so you are not registering more miles than actually traveled with the larger tires). Which could explain your gain in mileage withthe larger tire. Not criticizing, just throwing it out there. What kind of mileage are you getting now?

Thanks for the input,
Stephen

I have not gotten the speedo corrected yet. BUT, I use my GPS rather than the speedometer. It tells me the distance traveled. So then divide the Miles traveled with the amount of fuel to fill and theres my actual MPG.

As far as problems with the 6.7, I have not had any other than an oil leak. But most of the people on here that have the 6.7 have had problems. I am the only person on here with an 08, and everyone else has the 07 so the problems may have been fixed. I am about to turn 6,000 miles so I guess time will tell.
