Default emissions after removing cat

I want to do a turbo back exhaust omitting the cat and maybe muffler. Does someone know if this will pass the NC emissions? I would think not and I am about to relocate there from MN where there are no emissions testing.

to be honest from neighboring s dak here and i know sd and minn dont have emission checks but to be honest about all the cat does in the truck is collect some of the soot on low rpm driving and then during higher rpm or exhaust flow it purges the soot out so i do not know if nc checks for this ? probably not much help

When I bought my truck used in Maine, it didn't come with a cat and always passed. Now, my truck is an 04.5, the first time dodge put cats on trucks. Some might question an 06 missing their cat. Try to find a place that inspects older diesel trucks or a shop you use for maintenance. Their the best bet for a pass if you're modified.
