I am running K&N intake with full straight 4x4 and I make around 18 going 65 and I wanna know why I make about 19 going 75-80 down I-40. It might not be that big of climb as mpg but I fueled up going home and back and calculated about 18 and the next week I raced a kid going about 80 the whole way and I needed less gallons to fill myself up. Same miles per tripe just different speeds.

if it's repeatable you most likely found a sweet spot in the rpm range. I would keep track of it to see if you can do a repeat of it.

I think it is repeatable. at 65 since my speedo is off with tire change I'm around 1900 and at 80 I'm around 2100. I just dont feel right because it seems to whine a little more running those that 200 more rpm. But It runs same temp, seems a little better milage. I ran it once and seen I used less fuel so next time I did same thing and forgot to do my milage because i took a detour and I'm unsure the miles. I'm going home thursday with ALL my stuff from college so see if that little wieght (prob 500-700 pounds) will make crap for difference.

expect another 1~1.5 mpg after the aero install (& it breaks in with heat cycles). that's what I saw after the install. you will get more low end torque without a doubt. put it right after the downpipe where the cat used to be (or should be).
he ordered his pre broke in. lol

herb, youve actualy got 3.73's in your axels. if you go to 315's from 265's your looking at about a 6-7% drop in engine RPM's.

my true mileage test will be here at the begining of next month, got a 700 mile round trip comeing up.

Is ScanGauge any more acurate than the lie-o-meter?
