Default Tranny Shifts Early...

My tranny has started shifting into 4th way too early when I'm accelerating getting on the highway. It does it about half of the time, the other times is seems normal and is very smooth. When it shifts early it also seems to hunt or shift into 4th and back to 3rd and then back to 4th very quickly. Any ideas? Could the bands need adjusting? The fluid and filteronly have about 15k miles on them.

hhhmmm. . .sounds like the torque converter is locking and unlocking to me. . . .sounds like it could be a grounding issue.

Are there any obvious places to check the grounds?

I forgot to mention that sometimes I will just turn the overdrive off until I reach 60 mph or so and then hit the button and it will smoothly shift into 4th. That obviously solves the problem, but its kind of a pain.
