OT Wesley Snipes 3 years prison
And wasn't there a BIG discussion here on some thread about paying taxes, revolting, unfair laws, oh, and how people don't go to jail for tax evasion. Hummmmmmm.
I bet after the first few days in prison, ole' Wesley wishes the hell he paid those taxes.
I know for a fact that it does happen. Another pilot that I know is in prison now due to some tax evasion crap that he tried to pull. Hell, I don't like writing those checks every quarter either, but it beats the hell out of some big ole silverback guerilla winking at me in some GOD forsaken prison cell.

can he pay the backtaxes and get out of jail?
Best way to avoid being passed around in a jail is a high fiber diet and let it all out if they get near ya. Hey that's gotta be better than losing your virginity. Haha.

I don't see how this is a good thing. I completely support these federal income tax protestors. It boggles my mind that people think its O.K. that some organization has the right to take away a quarter of someone elses paycheck (at gun point, mind you) -- especially in the United States where we are supposedly free.
Maybe we can hear from Chouseal, who seems to be the most outspoken "tax protestor" here in the CTD forum. I imagine he has a opinion about the Snipes conviction. Apparently Snipes was using the "861 argument" as the basis for not paying his Federal taxes. Others have been prosecuted and imprisoned for similar attempts, stating that the activity that generates their income is not a "taxable activity."
