the downside is there is still a little bit of exhaust left in the cylinders all in an effort to reduce NOx emissions. removing it will only make sure every time your cylinder compresses the air there is no exhaust int eh cylinder.
Jake, I'm pretty sure it was set up this way since it is more reliable than haveing an actual valve that can fail.

Thanks a ton for all of your input!!
The bank has that no more than 5 years old policy for financing on used vehicles, soa 2003 is out of the picture. I've seen that the 2004 and 2005 prices are within a couple grand of each other so I'm leaning toward a 2005 4x4 Quad Cab and will be on the lookout for the manual gearbox. I've found one in Phoenix at the moment, but will check further listings as the time comes closer for me to get back state side.
In the mean time, I'll be lurking here, looking for any information I can, probably post a few more questions, and will post pics of my new truck in about a month.
Thanks again guys!!

I just got one myself a few months ago was always a big GM fan. Got mine for 24000.00 with 43000 miles auto and 4x4. I love it. The only thing that I dislike about it so far is a bad wobble when hitting a bump above 60mph. Had the front end aligned helped a little but the guy before me did not put the correct tires on it[:@] Cant fill them up to where they need to be. Needs new U joints to but they are covered under warrantee should be fixed next month. It was a very clean truck for 24,000.00. could not pass it up.

I'd stay away from a dealer. They put quite a margin on their markup. Because of the energy prices, a lot of guys are looking to unload their 3/4 ton rigs. Look around first on Craigslist, Auto Trader, etc. before you go to the dealer. If you need financing, you can go to a credit union and they will get you set up with the best financing.

Thanks Steve, I normally stand clear of the dealer but figured I would give it a shot. Thought they might have seen this problem before but thought wrong. I asked them to add as much caster as possible but he then said what you do to one side needs to be done to the other no really so I just told him just make sure it is with in spec not wanting them to mess it up any more. When I up grade the tires I will have it done again not at the dealer. Thanks again this forum has been a great help to someone is new to Dodge. And not to mention funny.
