Senoir Project stuff..
Hey yall,
Well I was going to do a turbo and all that fun stuff, but then I thought about it and I didnt want to get my self to deep into it with my truck. I think it is going to sit the way it is for a while.
BUT, I do have the senior project going on. I just finished my 8 page paper and have to have the presentation done by next week. I am getting the truck dynoed Thursday to compare number to the stock dyno I did last september.
Here is what I need to know before then:
I have the Smarty and Edge and do NOT wanta mess anything up while on the dyno. What number on the Smarty with the Edge on 5 should I run while on the dyno during my 3 pulls? Should I play around with it? Edge on 5, smarty on 6? or higher for the smarty? Iam guessing no ODD numbers for the smarty with the edge on 5, am I right?
Also, Stupid questions, but what does the acuall word "dyno" stand for?
Thanks for the help!

dyno is short for dynometer. a dyno can be just about anything as long as you have a known weight and can track RPM increase over time. thats a quick and dirty explination.
anyway, it is best to run the smarty on the highest tune possable, then run the edge up till something either slips. . .or breaks.
it is easier and quicker to adjust the edge over the smarty.

I am glad you said that because I wouldnt have even thought about that till I got on the dyno. What level between 6-9 should I run on the smarty? if I run the smarty on 9 and then go up with the edge wouldnt that be too much timing and something may break?
