Maybe I should have kept my Ninja 1000, but then mine had four tires and would do 170 mph with a stage 2 job on it, couldn't even use the first 2 gears except with the engineabove idle, but then the tires locked up in third and then you were in fouth doing up to a 100 MPH.
It was a little cramped in traffic, but you had a whole lot more room heading in a turn at 100.
But at least in this if you hit the wall at 85 MPH with a little help from others, you live to tell about it!!!

Dont like Honda, dont like the Ninja either. The seat on the ninja stops at the thighs, and so my legs make contact with the corners of the tank, makes it pretty uncomfortable. I don't know how my buddy can ride that thing, he is about 6'4 155 lbs, skinny as f*ck, his legs must be killing him. He tells me he has to stop every 70-80 miles and take a break. We will see.
Thats why I like my VFR, it looks sporty but has more of an upright seating position. But at 22yo, you should be strong like an OX
What part of Texas are you in now?

This bike is comfortable. 50 MPG, top speed(estimated) is 130, Sporty looking, handlebars are not tucked way down, so this bike is easy on the back, which is becoming an issue with me more and more each day. I am almost 22, and I cant even stand up without having to push up off something.

Are you buying it new or used?
Is a 650 the size that you are going with because it is a starter bike, or because it's what felt the most comfortable?
NICE helmet !!
Savage - for some reason I just can't picture you on that bike that you picked out. It just looks too small for you.

I got it new. I wouldnt have back problems but the Army doesnt really care about comfort and safety, all they care about is media coverage. Wearing that body in Iraq for 15 months for a minimum of 4 hours at a time without be allowed to sit down really does some damage. The final blow was in Febuary trying to push on some Extended range fuel tanks, with fuel in them. This is the tank in the chinook, the one next to the guy is not for a chinook, our are much bigger as you can see in the helicopter pic, it is very close to the ceiling. http://www.robertsonaviation.com/product/chinook.asp
As for the helmet, thanks. It is pretty nice. I wanted the Scorpion EXO-1000 but 350 was a little much. The one I got has an internal dark flip down visor, and both visors are fog proof.

Thats a nice helmet, I looked at one just like it at Woods Fun Center, almost bought it. I still need to buy a new one, mine is about worn out. Post some pics when you pick up your new bike.
