we were 160 guys and gall and only 43 hog were caugh, last year over 200 and i got 11 myself so rain is not the best for this but was fun anyway..

the slop is the best, get out your 12 guage with a slug and go running after the hog. None of this tree stand bull****.

I think he is refering to a groundhog, not a ferrell hog. You hunt ferrell's wth a 12 guage?

Depends, some times im in thicket up to my neck, literally up to my neck, I'll use the shotgun (with slug) if I'm in a more of a swamp area I'll use my .308 either way it equals meat.

This is what im talking about...12ga are fine but they are sometimes awfully far away so 22LR semi whit scope is nice,if ur near homes it doenst make much noise but in open area i like my 303semi
about 1$ each shot tough and 22LR goes for about 5¢ each

here they arent many in the wild, only those escaped from captivity, there is a ranch about 15 mins from me who lost 2 of them 3 years ago.
Ho yeah someone had a lion in his backyard and lost it last week, but they caught it and sended it to the Zoo

whats a ferrel dog?
its what you settle on at closing time [:'(]

this is what one looks like after it see me...

whats fun with hogs, is they will sometimes charge you, unlike most game that runs away, them an javelina...

woli if you want to have some fun, i guess prarie dog hunting is similar to your ground hog hunting, but get a .243 and pop em up to 400 yards away, pink mist!!!
