Shortbed will hold 34 gallons.

Fuel light usually comes on with about 4 gallons left.

If you mod the vent pipe, you can get +/- 37 or 38 gallons in it.

 

oh thanks for answering my question. i was close enough. i thought it would be 30 gals.
i would fill up when there is only one quarter of tank of diesel left.

thats what i do with my hemi. hemi sucks more gas on hills. i usually get 14 mpg heading up the hill on my street. i have a neighbor that drives a third gen cummins and he gets about 17.8 mpg going up the hill. i think his truck is an 05

You should have let us know something was up Jimmy. The members on here have a coast to coast connections, along with other cummins sites. I think we could have got the Diablo sold. We're here to help a cummins brother(or sister)out.I would definately strip your add ons off, Im sure someone on here would buy them. Just my 2 cents worth.

 

i am sorry to here its gotta go, she was a nice truck BUT i can kinda relate. i just sold both my bikes (cruiser and dirtbike) with telling myself i can always get them again. i replaced them with an older jeep like you were saying you wanted. i got a 97 2.5 softtop....its pretty sweet ride and for the price they are going for, you cant go wrong!
