Looks like I'm making the switch to Dodge
Title says it all. Cept its not with my truck(already got one!), but with my job. I've been a Ford diesel tech for a couple of years now, and lately it has just been really rough. Plus the dealership I'm currently at is going through alot of crap, and Ford is making alot of changes with how diesel work is done because of the 6.0. Starting next month I have to call in to get approval on most repairs before I can do them, because of so many techs throwing parts at problematic 6.0's. Well I really don't wanna do that, cuz it takes up my time. So I went and talked to the local dodge dealership. Turns out the lead diesel tech there is leaving next month, so the service manager said he needs a new guy, and he wants me to be that. I'll be going from the bottom level diesel guy at my current Ford dealership, to the top level diesel tech at Dodge, plus I'll be getting a helper and nice pay increase. Granted, I do have to get all of my chrysler certifications, but otherwise I'm good. From the truck I drive to my soon to be job, Dodge has done nothing but impress me, and now I'll actually be working on an engine that I love, not one that I hate. So give me a few months guys and I'll know the Cummins engine inside and out and will be more than happy to help anyone here out with their problems.
02Cummins if your still thinking bout going to work for dodge I would suggest you check out your local dealership and see what they'll offer you. Trust me I was definitely not expecting what I heard so you never know!
