Default Bad injector??

I have had an issue while idleing. It has happened twice so far over the last week. I feel the engine miss at idle and up to1000 rpms. After 1000 rpms it smooths out and drives fine. The first time it did it all day then went away. This time it did it and I took it out on the freeway and drove the snot out of it!! I got back to the house and the miss and vibration were gone.
Could this be a bad injector or maybe trash got past the fuel filter? I change filters every 5000 miles and the are the good ones from Geno's.
And before you ask, yes, it is a steady miss and the engine make the whole truck vibrate at idle untill it goes away.
I only have 14k on the clock!

Mine has done it since pretty much day one, I have just written it off as the nature of the beast.

So is it still missing or did the highway run get rid of it?

Might have been a bit of crud or it could be that your injectors were fouled up.

Sometimes you need to get a good load on it and get the EGT's an boost numbers up there and burn the carbon off the injector tips and exhaust valves.

Is it showing any codes or excessive smoke?

Now, mine shakes because now my torque converter CAN'T let go....

Yes the freeway ride took care of it but what I don't understand is why it only misses up to around 1000 rpms, after this is runs smooth and seems to be hitting fine on all 6. But let it drop below 1000 and it starts missing again.

And no codes, I checked with the Smarty.

Centrifical force will hide any slight missfire at higher rpm.

I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago. I think I got a bad batch of fuel....I could tell right after I filled up that is wasn't running as smooth as it used to. After about 2/3 of a tank It would shake really bad at idle. I replaced the fuel filter (had 6,000mi on it) and it smoothed back out.

Mine did the same thing about 2 weeks after having new injectors installed, right after filling up with fuel. I started using a different station and it cleared up, but it took a couple of tanks of fuel before it did.
