What does that imply? A hydro-generator is usually a water wheel or turbine that is turned bythe flowfrom a stream or river to generate power. How would you build one for a truck?

He's talking about a Hydrogen generator.

I was reading something about it yesterday, but I am not convinced that what I saw could make a difference for our trucks. Still the idea is interesting.

All of the kits you see for saleare scams. Is it possible? 100% yes! However it requires more energy to create hydrogen than what the hydrogen creates. So you wind up spending $2 to create $1 worth of hydrogen.

I agree there Bob, I've seen the scams also. GM has been trying to develop the hydrogen fuel cell for years. I beleive the Mercedes also has been working on that development.

Yes, it's been reported that the method of creating hydrogen is more costly than the energy it produces for you.

Even though I don't know much about them, the idea makes sense. Check this website out, it has a video showing the hydrogen produced by the generator. Its pretty amazing how a little tube can convert water into an exploding hydrogen gas. They don't even cost that much.

The reason why they say that these products "supplement" the current fuel system is due to the fact that the Hydrogen can't be produced fast enough to run a car. You would need an 18 wheeler tanker load of water and a megawatt of batteries to get enough to burn real time. I personally think you would get more "supplemental" gas by holding a cigarette light in front of the air intake and push the button for the gas to come out.

There is also a big difference between a Hydrogen fuel cell and a Hydrogen generator. The Hydrogen generator uses electrolosys to seperate the Oxygen and Hydrogen atoms. The fuel cell does the complete opposite. It combinesHydrogen atoms with (Oxygen atoms in the air) to make water. It uses a membrane to collect the electricty that is generated by the atoms forming into water.
