If I pull in 4 hi will it be too hard on the truck, or even benefit over 4lo? I pulled in 4lo in my 06 and couldn't get momentum/speed. I pulled stock 236', w/ edge 242' just seemed I couldn't get down the track. Dmax pullers pull in 4hi and they move down the track, I was told to pull in 4lo.The dmaxers say they pull better in 4hi. Im wanting to see how the new tranny/ motor pulls this year?

 

This guy recommends 2Lo. 2Hi tends to generate a bit of lift and the ballast shifts out the back.

 

you definitely want to pull in 4hi. It's wheel speed and rpm's that get you down the track. 4lo will max out your rpm's and you'll hit the limiter real quick.

thats pretty much the problem I had. maybe next time I'm able to get up to will and the gang to pull I'll try 2lo then 2hi and see what kind of difference I can get.

may need a new clutch afterwards though
