I have a VW Jetta TDI that will get better mileage than any hybrid that I know of. The best part about it is that I don't have to deal with all the batteries and junk.

vw is supposed to be putting out a tdi rabbit that is said to get high 50's/low 60's... should be under $20k from what the sales guy said... (in there getting vw parts for the jetta).
