Default Sliders anyone?

I'm in the early stages of my build, pretty much planning right now but planning to unleash the fury so to speak this fall. Anyhow I was wondering if anyone has a set of sliders on their truck and if so if they were custom built or off the shelf items. So far all I have been able to find so far is tube steps but I want something that isn't going to fold up when I come down on a log or rock or something. My plan so far is to buy a set of n-fab 3 steppers and make some adustments. Any help boys and girls????

Won't find any off the shelf sliders for a Ram.

Best bet would be to fab them yourself with some square, .25" thick tubing if you want them to support the weight of a full size deisel.

Just for reference, my trucks weights in a 6880 lbs. That's a bit more than your average rock crawler.

I agree with cumminalong... these trucks are pretty much too heavy to protect from a rock to the quarter panel.

Just lift it up as high as possible, so high centering will be minimized... also try to drive a good line as to not rub against any rocks .

I am well aware of the fact that my truck weighs over 7000 lbs and I do not intend onrock crawling with it. However Being as long as it is and with the expedition type service this truck will see I want solid protection never the less. I plan on tying all the steps together with additional tube for a twin tube type look. reinforce the whole thing especially the mounts and probably add a couple good heavy duty ones. Starting with the nfabs will save a bunch of work with alignment however, the rest I can fab up in a day no problem. And savage the last thing I want to do is go high with this truck, I'm planning on more of a baja style suspension, probably only 3 in the front and 2 inches in the back. I'll be running 37's and will probably switch to glass fenders and maybe trim the backs if needed. It will be carrying a camper in the arctic quite a bit of the time and I don't want to be sitting too high up in the wind and I don't want a high centre of gravity.
