First....Welcome to the Forum.

Second....Who the hell told you that your diesel needs a tune up? What did they say, change the plugs and wires. I`m not cracking on you, by the way.

What's it seem to be doing?

You talking about a valve adjustment and such? The Power Shop in Enumclaw does good work if you want to get away from stealership type. They do a lot of diesel work & are moving from more of a PowerJoke shop to a Cummin's shop. One warning though ~ you drive in there you'll drive out with a lighter wallet and more HP at the rear wheel

Jake, a Cummins tune up involves 10K+ lbs, a good incline and a heavy right foot. Should clear up any tune up issues.

I think I need a tune up because my mpg has dropped down to 16mpg (on a good day) on long highway trips, light load without towing.

Have you changed fuel and air filters?.....the fuel filters can get dirty pretty quick in a diesel. They are pretty easy to change yourself. If you need help let us know.
