Default Grinding?

I've been noticing a grinding or vibration coming fromt the rear of the truck when I'm rolling less than 5 mph. It goes away at higher speeds, but it pretty bad when just barely rolling.

i had the same thing happen, they replaced one carrier bearing 10K miles ago, then at 68K miles, took it in and when they took off the cover the guts of the LSD were everywhere, replaced entire 3rd member and rear axle housing, it had a slight bend in it which ate up the diff, dodge cost $4200.00 my cost $100 deductible! The new LSD is much tighter than before.

Truck has 92k miles and the fluids were changed at about 50k. I don't know much about how the limited slip works, but I can imagine that is probably my problem. If its going tocost me $4200, my truck will be sitting indefinetely.

pull the rear diff cover and see what's in the bottom, if you have 'parts'in the drain plug or bottom of the diff after draining you may have a problem, some metal small shavings are normal, you may want to just install an 'open' diff to replace the LSD, the $4200 was what Dodge 'would have charged' if it's just a worn out LSD it should be around $1000-1500 to R&R the diff, as long as nothing else is broken.
