Default Which converter for stock motor?

So, if I were to switch torque converters in my 07, 5.9. And the motor is bone stock, and will remain that way. Which brand converter would be good to get. The reason I am thinking about putting in a new converter is because I can't stand how high the stall is. When I tow, only 4000 lbs the engine just screams and truck barely accelerates. RPM jump up to 2400-2600 at only 1/2-3/4 throttle accleerating from 20-40 mph. I had the dealer check it out and they said everything is normal. They said the stall speed is high because the engine makes so much torque downlow, the converter can't handle it.I can't imagine how it would be pulling 13k which is what the truck is rated to tow. It seems like most aftermarket converters lower the stall speed to work better with the engines torque. This is what I am looking for. And I would think MPG would go up, because the engine isn't spinning so high all the time when the converter isn't locked up.

I read that the tripple disk converters, you need to be making a certain amount of HP and torque to use them, because the stall is so low. I have seen some single disk converters that handle allot more hp/tq than stock, and still have a lower stall speed, but work well with stock and slightly modded engines.

Any suggestions?

Call Dave at the URL below and tell him what you want your TC to do and he will tell you what one to go with. He has triple disk TC's with life time warranty for $1295.00 or one with a 100K warranty for $1095.00.
