They cut just under the cab and box then weld the section in. the frame is inspected and certified by an outside agency. Fuel, brake and drive lines are made by another company so nothing is rubber hosed or the original drive line has an extension welded to it. The new bed looks just like it was originally with the truck they matched the paint perfectly.
