#2 diesel what did I do?
So I pull into a new gas station saw diesel was $4.42! What a great deal or better deal than most places. I thought it was, but after I filled up I saw it said #2 on it. What does this mean? Is this the same stuff as reg diesel. I thought my truck ran slightly different too after I filled it up. Thanks for any help.

#2 is what you're supposed to use. As long as it didn't say "OFF ROAD #2" you're good to go.
BTW, the cheapest I saw around here is $4.469. Prices have dropped a little bit.

ULSD and LSD are both known as #2 diesel. Even premium diesel is called #2 diesel. BTW yes some places still sell LSD outside of the state of Cal. for on road use until IIRC 10/2010 and all diesel after 12/2010 must be ULSD for both on and off road use.
