selling the cummins
I agree with the other posters here unforgiven!..Do the math, as they say. Even with the diesel fuel prices running about 18% higher than gas, you should be coming out ahead. My '05 Dodge/Cummins gets about 30% better mileage than a Hemi Dodge. So I'm still 12% ahead . . . . and that's not even considering the fact that the Cummins will outlast the Hemi by a looooooooong shot! And have I mentioned the feeling that 610 ft lbs of torque gives me! I think you'll regret it if you go through with this decision.
If you are buying a new truck with a 6.7 the mileage is no better than a Hemi just driving around not towing. Towing the 6.7 will get about 3mpg better than the Hemi with a lot more power. I'll bet the 6.7 will be in the shop a lot more than the Hemi over the life of the truck. TOM
I feel your pain brotha, I was at the dealer yesterday to trade Bruce in
I find out Monday if its a done deal or not with the bank. I almost CHIT a brick when I found out the blue book on my truck was 15,000 dollars! Ive got o get rid of him so that I can afford to pay for the car I bought my son. Thanks to our F@4*ked economy right now!!!

You have stacks on Bruce right? That is an amazing pickup you have. I am in SD right now doing the tourist thing at Mt Rushmore. I drove my Concorde down here and spent $67 on gas for 400 miles. The mileage isn't the best on that, but I figured the Cummins would have cost me $103 to drive that. They're both paid for so I'm not seeing that my Cummins is cheaper to drive when I only keep my vehicles 50-100K. The 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Cool Chrome Vanilla package is so sweet...
