my tranny is not going into 1st gear and it is an auto. the tranny started sliping so i put some trans x in it and it help but now i have no 1st

There is one silonoid that tells the tranny to downshift. This is a pretty cheap fix. Worse case scenario, your TQ is shot (causing the slipping) and metal shavings from the TQ have plugged up silonoid resulting in failure. This resulting in a rebuild. I dealt with the same problems last fall with my 03 resulting in a complete rebuild. Hope this helps.
