6.7 for pulling?
Hi guys,
I stumbled onto this forum when I was looking for reviews of the 6.7 diesel. I currently have a 99 2500 cummins and a 06 2500 cummins. I love both trucks and they have been great for hauling my horses down the road. I am looking to get a 3500 because I am hauling a bigger trailer now and more horses. I looked at a 08 6.7 mega dually. I was kinda freaked though when I read some of the reviews of the 6.7. So I guess my question is do you think I should stick to looking at the 5.9, or do they have most of the bugs worked out of the 6.7 now?
Thanks for any info you can give me.

I've had my 3500 Cab Chassic for 4 months now, 8500 miles mostly towing, not one problem yet this one is better than both the 03 & 06 I had. Mileage has been getting better and was better from the start than my 06 I traded. I pull a 40' 4 slide 5'er and love it. Drive it like a rental.
I wouldn't hesitate getting the 6.7 for a tow rig/over the road puller. Pretty good options with engine brake, decent tranny and such. I would be shy with that engine if it was my daily driver in stop/go and long idle times, but that's just me. Some have had good luck and some haven't. Keep your ears on and I am sure some more members that have the 6.7 in an 08 model will fill ya in. On the other hand, if you can find a what you want with a 5.9, I am sure there are some good deals out there now.
