Has anyone used a Smarty Sr. programmer on a 98.5-2002 cummins. If so what are your thoughts?

There was 1 guy here running a smarty on his 2nd gen but havent seen him here in a while. if he's monitoring the forum he'll definately provide some feedback.

 

are there 3 stages of the smarty ot only 2? the smarty...regular which i guess is the sr.? and the smarty jr.?

I have seen the smarty Jr and the smarty programmer. The Jr is only for 03 and up cummins and the Smarty is for the 98.5 and up.

 

The Smarty VP44 is for 1998.5-2002 Cummins. I have one on my '00 which is stacked with my Edge Comp. As a stand alone programmer on the VP44 it is not that great but there are updates that will be avaliable soon.

The 3rd gen trucks, 03-07 have the Smarty Jr and the S-06 Smarty. Totallyt different tuners.
