Default dually vs ton truck

I am needing a 3500 to put a wrecker bed on. There are a lot more duallys to chose from than just plan old dual tire ton trucks. The problem is dually rear ends are wider than the dual tire ton truck rear end. Does anyone know if there are any spacers that can be took out to norrow a dully or any other differents I could run in to. Thanks Terry

Are you saying that a dually pickup rear end is wider than a chasis cab rear end? I always thought they were the same. If its not much wider could you just put flares on your wrecker body?

There are no spacers you can take out. I can't find my specs for the width, etc, but I thought that the dually's are a standard 96 inch width in the back.
