Default FASS part #STK-1001

re: FASS 95/150-1008

Has anyone had to put the 1/2" suction tube adapter in their fuel tank when installing the FASS system with an in tank lift pump? If so did you have to drop your tank? It might be a silly question but I really don't want to have to drop the tank if I don't have to. The kit should be here Monday and I want to be prepared for when it comes.

Thanks

I just ordered the airdog 150 and will be installing the 1/2" feeding tube also. I think you can either drop the tank, or raise the bed. I think I will raise my bed and install it when I install my goose neck hitch.

I did a little research yesterday morning and found out that I needed to drop the tank. It was going to be easier than lifting my bed with my fifth wheel rails already attached. Needless to say I got it done last night. Not fun but its done. Just waiting for the tube.

make certain that you mount the tube as close to the bottom as possible but not close enough so that it can suction to it. as a precaution it notched the bottom of my tube so that it couldn't fully suction to the bottom and haven't had any trouble with it yet. also make sure that when you are measuring that you have the tank supported the same way it sets in the truck. if it is sitting flat on the floor then the bottom can tend to be pushed up which would mean that when you cut the suction tube it will then be too short. just my 2 cents.

Thanks. Everything went well and the FASS system is great. With the smarty now on board it is fun to drive again!
