Default front prop shaft lube point

While browsing this forum I came across a lot of discussion of where the lube point is for the front prop shaft on the 4x4 CTD. I have a 2007, 2500 and each time I took it to the dealer for LOF, and mentioned the sticker cautioning lubrication at each oil change, they would check and inform me there was no lube point, assuring me the unit was sealed.I came home and actually found and marked the point with help from this forum.I had to return to the dealer and show them where the point was.All surprised and embarrassed!!The service manager actually came out and did the lube.He then walked away without any apology which was left to one of the service advisors. I would have at least expected a discount on this service after having to insist they had missed something which they were really reluctant to admit until I actually pointed it out.I guess it's time to start looking for another service dept.

By the way, another common issue has been the CEL on the 6.7 CTD.I have 12000km, and so far only one CEL related to engine not heating to temp on very cold weather(-40C). No other issues. Love the power!!!!

experienced same issue.

re. CEL on your 6.7, do you run with the exhaust brake on full time? you should if you don't, it'll help with the regen, and help with CEL which is most likely a fault with the regen engine isn't getting hot enough to satisfy regen sequence.

also noticed at the dealership service depts...they don't like hearing "I got my info on the intarnet..."

I usually run the Jake on the highway. How does one tell when a regen is occurring?Nothing appears on the overhead and I don't notice any difference in performance.I just assume it's happened because I have 12000km on it.
