Ready for new exhaust, please help
Hey guys, I currently have an MBRP catback exhaust on my 06 5.9 QC CTD and i'm ready for something different. My current set up sounds nice but it's just not loud enough for my anymore. It's the 4" 409 xp system. I don't really want to start cutting things up and I really don't want a straight pipe, I want to keep a muffler of some sort but I want the best sound possible. What do you think would sound better... Keeping my current system and deleting the cat for a turbo back exhaust or replacing the exhaust completely with a Silverline 4" Turbo back. I'm not really concerned about the money of changing it up, but I don't want to go out and buy a 1000 dollar exhaust system either. I know I can get the silverline middle-grade SS turbo-back for 500 bucks or a cat delete for my current set up for under 100 bucks. Which would sound better in your opinion? I want it louder, but not too obnoxious but I still want a great tone. Any help is appreciated.
you may want to just try a mbrp muffler delete pipe. they are cheap and if you dont like it you won't be out much $$$ There is really nothing wrong with the pipe you have. You probably can get the sound you want by changing muffler , or deleteing, or deleteing the kitty.
how much different would deleting the muffler sound compared to having the mbrp muffler assuming I keep my stock cat? I know it would be louder, but how much? Would it still have a good tone to it?
