you will get a slight increase with most programmers if you drive the truck easy. But if you figure a programmmer is between 500 and 1000 dollars for a slight increase in milage you would be better off putting the money towards fuel. The claims of 2-4 mpgs better is unrealistic your probably looking at more like .5-1 mpg increase. Plus when you have the extra power you are going to use it every chance you get and there goes your milage increase right out the window. Don't get me wrong I have the edge juice with attitude on my truck and love it. But I didn't buy it for the milage.

Like Bass Hunter suggested, a programmer may give you a lsight increase in mileage "alone" but with a few other after market goodies you might see more. If you decide on a programmer I suggest the Edge or Smarty jr or Smarty senior. The senior will grow and work best with all the available after market "go fast" stuff. The Smarty jr has built in safety like EGTs limits and is easier on the auto trannys.

A word of caution though no matter what programmer or chip you go with, watch that K&N filter... you may suck it into the turbo... go with a real cold air intake, that does away with the OEM air box (very restrictive when adding more power).

like said above the K&N filter should be removed.

But check out quadzilla products. They have very low cost modules. A xzt+ isnt that exspensive and will give you 1 mpg easy.

I have run quite a few boxes and a few programmers and so far quadzilla has my vote.
