Default Question about truck's weight capacities?

Does cab & bed setup change the payload an tow capacities? The answer probably won't change my end choice but i'd like to know before i pick 1.

Heres how the 2 rams i'm looking at are setup.
1. 01 Ram2500 ST 5.9L I6 24V Turbo Diesel 4-Spd Auto Quad Cab 8ft Bed 4wd
-
2. 99 Ram2500 ST 5.9L I6 24V Turbo Diesel 4-Spd Auto Reg Cab 8ft Bed 4wd

Thanks for any info, Mike

If you plan on towing at maximum rated tow/payloads then get the regular cab. But if you need or like the extra cab space and will not be hauling/towing maximum weights, go for the extra cab space of the Quad Cab.

Yes they do. Bigger cab weighs more = less towing and carrying capacity.

Thanks for reply guys, i'm gonna go with reg cab since it's cheaper an i'd like to be able to haul big loads if needed.
