Cool Dripping red Fluid

I am having a small problem here. I am dripping red fluid from the lower part of my trans. but i do not think it is coming from there. The strange thing is this only happens at night either becasue of the cold or how long it takes to settle....i have no idea. Anybody out there with some ideas of what the hell this cold be? and why only at night? thanks for any help.

If it's red, it's transmission. Assuming you have an automatic trans. The trans. could be a little over full. Good luck.

ck the heater hose under the rear of the exhaust manifold short hose 2 clamps they work loose alot the coolant is red or pink and will drip off the lower part of the trans. We see it all the time on 5.9Lcummins. ck it when its cold tighten the clamps Cold It's to hard to get to when it's hot

I agree. Common symptoms with the loose hose as eaglestorm said, and I had the same thing. Somewhere on this forum is a picture of the hose. It is a short hose too. Should be a quick fix for you.

A lift might not be necessary... I had the dealer tighten mine up, but should be able to get to it better from under the hood.
