Default Battery cables / connectors

I have been having goofy intermittent starting problems for some time now. Still haven't figured it out.

I need to change out the connectors on my cables connecting to the batteries. Should I cut the cables and put on new connectors - OR should I look for new cables with connectors. I do not like the stock cables/connectors all-in-one. I've disconnected/reconnected the batteries so many times the connectors will not get really tight. Looks like they're made of some really soft metal.

Once I get my new connections, I can troubleshoot my starting issues again.

Any thoughts will be most appreciated.
