Default 6.7 cummins ran out of diesel

does anyone know how to prime a dodge cummins tt 2007 dodge ram 2500, out in the desert ran out of fuel is there a proper way to prime this system 6.7CTD

I could be wrong, and maybe its just the second gens, but dont you bump the starter?

yes thats what i was told and it worked we running again duh get a gas can

If you ran it completely dry you may have to crack the lines...i just did the same thing on my 99. The lift pump would prime when I bumped the starter, but the air was between injector pump and injectors...never would turn over....get a haynes manual and have fun...requires two people...one to crank and one to crack

I ran out of diesel amount a month ago leaving me walking for a little while. I got 2 gallons poured in and cranked it over a short bit then it started right up. I didn't have to purge the lines or anthing.
