Exclamation Fuel filter change in 2007 5.9L

Hello, since I can't access the DIY section. I want to change the fuel filter in my 2007 5.9L. After draining it, youe just unscrew the top and pull the old filter out. My Question is do i have to fill the filter housing up before replacing the cap or can i just cycle the ignition switch to purge the air from the lines. thanks!!!

Just put the filter back in. Lube the new O-ring with a little oil or grease. (makes it much easier the next time you replace it) Then, bump the starter, but don't start it, and leave the key in the "on" position. You should hear the lift pump run for about 25-30 seconds. Then go ahead and try starting it. Mine usually fires right off and runs fine.

why cant you access the diy section?

as mentioned, cycle the key a few times and the air will get purged out of the system, then fire it up.
