Pro Comp Xtreme AT tire update...
had the pleasure of driving thru some snowy slick conditions on the way to work this morning and wanted to see how the pro comp's would handle it with the amount of tread left on them... (still not down to the wear bars with 87k on them)... well they did pretty damn good considering their mileage. had decent grip in 4wd on the slick stuff. Did a wet pavement brake test prior to getting into the snow from a lower elevation and it also did awesome. still a lot of grip.
heading up to WA state next Saturday with the truck and was concerned with the slick pavement grip... no worries now...! I will however toss a couple of tires in the bed before taking off next weekend just in case I have a non-repairable puncture...
funny thing here is last year I was in the same boat... went to WA on these tires thinking I'd have them swapped out by spring, and here we are approaching winter again (its still fall you know
)

Hey Steve, get info on the tires!! I'm trying to save to get me set soon.
I've got Nitto DuraGrappler A/T's now and only got 25K out of them. They ride great, very little noise, but they're sooooo damn soft!!
You posts have sold me on the ProComps!!
