Last winter I bought a2003 2wd 3500 deuly with a cumins 5.9. We are full time rvers last out of Oregon. This truck had 4:10 differental and after putting in a super chip, four in exhaust, cold air intake, inline fuel pump. I found it was to low geared. had I known at the time this site was here I would have asked for some advice. However I blundered on and was told I needed 3:42 to really make a differene, and so it was all fine till we hooked onto a 36 ft 5th wheel with all our earthly goods and headed over the mountains in the western states. We soon found that on 6% grades when dropped down to 5th gear, the window between 1400 degree turbo and 4th gear was very small. Have since replaced differental with 3:73 and hope that solved it.

Welcome. I think this should just be in the Ram section, so I'll move it for ya.

If that doesn't work for ya you can always go with an auxilary underdrive or overdrive for that matter. Welcome to dodge forum.

It will tell you if you have the build sheet or the window sticker. I think there is also a tag on the rear diff.
