this is a funny recall, they say a piece of insolation may sag and toutch egr cooler and catch fire. NOW HERE IS WHERE IT GETS FUNNY, (it may sag) WHY DONT THE SAY IT DOES SAG AND TOUCH THE EGR COOLER i hav a brand new 2500 with 1500 miles on it, when i seen this recall and decided to look for my self since they are saying it is a fire hazard, and to my suprise it sags right onto the cooler, SO GET WITH IT DODGE! TELL THE WHOLE STORRY YOU SCREWED UP AND IT DOES SAG, NO MAYBE TO IT! HOPE I DONT BURN UP BEFORE THEY GET THE RECALL PART OUT!

 

Because after all, your truck is exactly the same as the hundreds of thousands of other 08s on the road. It effects enough trucks for them to make a recall, but not enough for them to say EVERY truck has this problem. ANY recall shows that the manufacturer admits there is a problem.

 

CHRYSLER IS RECALLING 108,429 MY 2007-2008 DODGE RAM 2500 AND 3500 PICKUP TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 6.7L DIESEL ENGINES. A SILENCER PAD CAN SAG AND CONTACT THE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) COOLER.

The recall says CAN sag not may. Dodge has admitted there is a problem or there would be no recall. But I guess some would prefer that no recall be issued so they can sue Dodge IF there is a fire..

 

My father-in-law just bought an 08 2500 with 6.7L diesel, how do i find out if his truck is included in this recall?

 

Call the dealer where he bought it and ask.
