sign of a bad injector
What are the telltale signs of a bad injector????? My truck just feels like it looses power sometimes, and it's like I have no more pedal.

Like Parts said, you can also check with a "raytech" lasor temp gun (get at any good auto parts store) after the engine has been warmed up take for a spin then pull over pop hood and shoot each exhaust port (as soon and safely as possible), if you find an injector or more colder or hotter then the rest you may want to have them looked at. (temp differences of around 50 to 100deg denote issues)
injectors that are cold may be carboned up...cause would be excessive idling, or a pressure box/programmer adding too much fuel.
injectors that are hotter then others... excessive fuel
excessive fuel can leak down the cylinders when engine is cold... you might want to check engine oil level, if your gaining/making extra oil (pull dipstick sniff oil .... check for diesel smell) you may have an injector or more leaking fuel (injector tubes can also leak causing extra engine oil)
