Default ctd plug

is it ok to make the cord longer to plug in my truck because the cord that is on it i have to crawl under the truck to plug it in at night

What year truck? There should be plenty of slack to get it to the front of the bumper (should being the key word there)

And if not, no I wouldnt go extending it. Id go get a longer one, but thats just me. I personally dont like cutting and splicing if I dont have to.

it is a 2002 ctd 4x4 auto i wasent going to cut and splice i was going to replace the whole cord i am a electrician but wasent sure about extending the cord on the ctd but i would seem to be ok because i have a 100 ft extension cord pluged into it just wanted to make sure

The cord may be bundled. Look it over good, cut the tie wrap and run it out through the front by the headlight. That's where most are anyway.

There should be plenty of extra cord, it's just bundled up.

There should be enough to route it conservatively and have about 12 - 18" left over sticking out of the bumper.
