Default exhaust question

i have the 6.7L and i'm looking to some better sound. I already have a tip on the exhaust but that didn't do anything. Cant run straight pipes on the new motor due to catalytic converters or something like that. They say it wont run good. I'm looking to get a good deep sound out of it and dont want ne thing too loud. Anyone have any suggestions?

Straight pipe that SOB!!! Yes, you can straight pipe the 6.7. And itll run better. Look at http://www.hs-performance.com/s-19-3...kup-model.aspx and http://www.badpracing.com/ for their systems. Never heard one in person, but from videos online, they still arent as loud as a 5.9 is straight piped.

And get turbo-back exhaust. The stock downpipe has a catalytic convertor in it, down to another cat, the DPF, and muffler. Just ditching the muffler wont make much if any sound difference. While your at it, block off the EGR too
