Only 4000 miles so far. If I have any issues after warranty mine will be in the trash. I'm glad people aren't really having any issues after removing the dpf. Is anyone using a program to not have issues after removing the dpf?

the only issues your likely to have wll be during your warranty, and because of the DPF/EGR system. run the truck with that stuff in place, and the life of the motor will be reduced so drastically you won't need a warranty after 100k, you'll need a new truck!

it depends on what your doing with it if your gona mod it id go with 5.9
or if your gona leave it stock get the 6.7, the 6.7s are a good bit quicker then the 5.9s stock vs stock and plus the exhaust brake is cool. mpgs arent as good as the 5.9 i get around 19-21 in town and around 21-26 on the highway

What gears are you running?

My 2009 Ram 3500 Quad Cab (SRW) is only getting 11-12 mpg around town so far (but I've only had it a couple weeks).

i would have to do the opposite. if i were leaving one stock, i'd go with the 5.9 as they have far fewer problems in stock form. BUT, if your willing to mod a new truck and void the warranty, then i'd most definitely go with the 6.7. it's a super motor, smooth and gobs of power stock, not to mention modded. but the emissions stuff strapped to them will reduce the life of the motor, reduce mpg, and cause lots of soot issues (most likely). unless you get a really lucky and rare one, plan on doing the mods to the 6.7 or buy your truck a pillow and blanky for it's many overnight visits to the dealer.

I have the stock 3.73 gears and the G56 transmission.

I've got 3.73's and the six speed auto (which I assume is the G56). i haven't had the truck long enough to establish a baseline so I appreciate your input.

BTW, no matter what mileage I end up with, I LOVE this truck!

No, the G56 is the six-speed manual. It's geared lower than the auto, so it's only available with 3.73 gears.

x2. The 6.7 is fixin to become a monster. On a 5.9, torque is typically twice what the horsepower is (300hp/600tq. 600hp/1200tq, etc.) but Ive heard the 6.7 is close to a 1:3 ratio...general rules of thumb, NOT exact
