Default help wanted

hey all, i bought an '09 wrangler to haul behind my ctd 3500, the jeep is a 4x4 and to ,the manual says disconnect the negaative cable when towing so the ignition switch can be left in aux. i bought a taylor master disconnect switch. the intro tells me to run the switch on the pos side, i want to run the switch on the neg side as per jeep, my gut feeling is this will work, any opinions, thanx.

scat, the manual wants the key in aux when towing so the front wheels aren't locked.
