Default 12V 2500 wont start! HELP!

Hey all,

I need some help. I am stumped and in need of a fix. I woke up this morning and my truck will not start! It ran fine yesterday. I have been working on it and have determined it is a fuel issue for sure. The starter turns fine and strong. I have changed the fuel filter and primed the lines. I can get it started with some starting fluid and it will continue to run. But once I shut it off it wont start again.

Default Solved

Hey guys,

I just wanted to post the resolution to this problem.
It turned out to be the fuel shutoff solenoid, which after pushing it up allowed me to start it right up.

I have found that the connections at the battery will act like the solenoid is bad and it is just bad connections although these do fail from time to time. My 97 Cummins did just that and I called local dealership and they said the first thing to do is clean all the wires on the battery terminals and that fixed my problem. Just thought to share this for the next person who has this problem.

Damn it!

Sorry man, I just noticed this thread.

As soon as I read your post, I was thinking the shutoff solenoid.
