Default Need Help, 2007 3500 diesel Mega Cab

I'm new to the forum and have some questions that you all can help me out with. I found a new 2007 mega cab 3500 turbo diesel dually 6 speed automatic, never titled. I've read a number of threads on the "new" cummins turbo diesel that are not exactly positive. I think I can make a pretty good deal on this left over 2007; what do you think would be a good price for this truck. The MSRP sticker is 51K. Independent of how good a deal I can get; I'm very concerned about the diesel having troubles; what are your thoughts?
TIA

Is it a 2007 0r a 2007.5 model year? The o7 has the 5.9 and 4 speed auto. The o7.5 has the new 6.7 and 6 speed auto. You could buy that truck for about 32-37,000 I would think. I paid 32,000 for my 07 2 years ago. If it has the 5.9 you should have no worrries. If it is the 6.7 some seem to have nothing but problems others have little to no problems. They are already coming out with the new computer flashes and turbo fixes you may just want to be prepared for some issues with the new motor.

It is the 2007.5 model; it has the "new" 6.7 turbo diesel. If it was the 5.9 diesel I would not be concerned. I'm thinking like you bass hunter with regard to the price.....maybe even a little better than that.

32k-37k??? If you pay that much for a new 2 year old truck, your damn crazy!! You could get that on an 09 if you did some shopping. Their trying to move all the vehicles they can...

Im thinkin the 25-28 range. Offer them 25 or so, if they deny it, leave your number and walk out the door. Make sure it has the latest flash. Or just buy it and delete the DPF and block the EGR, no problems!

I dont care if its brand new or not, its still been sitting there for atleast 1.5 years. Hell, I paid 35k for mine, brand new, 24 miles on the odometer. And it was the third 07 around here...

Just a little note on this topic; that 2007.5 3500 is STILL on the lot. This dealer is one that has been sent a notice that they will be shut down. Any thoughts on what this truck may be worth now? I'm with those who think $25-$28K might be a good starting point.
