I tried searching for the maintenance cost of a CTD but have been unsuccessful. I think I have a good grasp of what needs to be changed and how frequently but have been unable to find how much these routine oil changes etc. would end up costing.

Any help would be great

The costs are really gonna depend on what products your using.

For oil, Rotella is about $15 a gallon, times 3 gals, that's $45. Napa Gold Oil Filter (made by Wix) run about $9. Fuel filter from Geno's runs about $15.

Really, that's about it, other than air filters, diff fluids, etc, which is roughly the same on most trucks.

So for regular oil and locally available maint items, an oil change will run you $55 - 60 if you do it yourself every 7500 miles.

Now, if you run the synthetics, it's considerably more. My oil changes with Amsoil run me a little over $9 a qt, times 12 equals $108. Stratopore Oil Filter from Geno's is $11. FASS 150 fuel filter are $64, water seperator is $27. I Change all of these every 10K, except the water filter, which is cleanable to a point.

So using the good stuff can run you $210.

 

The local dealer is charging $90 for Rotella oil changes...

 

Don't got the dealer for servicing. they will hose you everytime. I goto a local oil change place that does dually's. I pay about $63 for an oil change.
