there are mixed reviews on the 6.7 motor, I have the 5.9 and love it. never gives me any problems. Once you have the CTD however you will still want to play with it... the difference is the costs are higher. but $ for $ the mods are worth it by far...

Opinions vary on the 6.7L, but if I was you I would only value the opinions of those who actually own a 6.7L Cummins. I would say the 6.7L is not "crap," but there are definitely guys out there who have had trouble with them, usually associated with the turbo. I know at least one of the 6.7L owners on this forum had to have the turbo replaced under warranty. Most of us have had trouble with the 'check engine light' coming on for various reasons. The updated software flashes from Dodge have fixed the problems that most people were experiencing.

The upside of the 6.7L is that it is very powerful and smooth. If you do get a 6.7L Cummins I would suggest not modding it with a tuner box unless you also delete the diesel particulate filter. I was part of the 6.7L beta test for the Edge Juice w/ Attitude, and the extra fuel from any of the settings except "stock" seemed to clog up the DPF with soot. I actually removed my Edge a few months ago when I brought the truck in for some warranty work. Once my warranty lapses I would like to get rid of the DPF with a kit from H&S, block off the EGR, and reinstall the Edge.

Unless you're pulling something REALLY heavy, I wouldn't get the 4.10s. Go with the 3.73-- you'll still have plenty of power at the wheels, and you'll get better mileage.

not necessarily... depending on tire size & tranny you may loose mileage. I have 3.73's and want 4.11's as it will put the rpms back up closer to stock with the 35's I'll get someday... (currently on 33's)

Yup! Guess my mindset is stock size since that's what I've got right now, not to mention I have the G56. Do I rememeber correctly you saying you lost nearly 3 mpg going from stock to the 33s?
