4x4 conversion
Its a piece of cake. If you can change your own wiper blades then you are ready for this conversion. All you need is a screw driver or a butter knife and a pair of pliers and you can have it done in your drive way in a weekend. I sell a conversion kit it costs around 10K all you have to do is use your screw driver to change the license plates.

i figure the simplest way would be to get a dodge 2500 front d60 axle sit it in place. weld up the control arms ( trailing arms) bolt the axle in place then slide the coils in. next drill holes for the steering box and connect the steering. last install a 4wd output shaft on the trans to hook up the transfer case then bolt in the driveshaft. or does it not work that way?
It does not work that way. The cheepest way Seriously would be to find a wrecked 4x4 and put your body onto it.
This here would be the cheapest way for you.

I would look at a junk yard for one that does not have front end damage. Buy the whole front clip- have them cut the fram right behind the control arms. This will give you everything you would need plus you could take all the measurements before you tear it apart. I would bet a few grand would be involved just because axles are not cheap.
